Chuundar is a fictional Wookiee modernizer and usurper of the throne of Rwookrrorro developed by BioWare for the role-playing game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Chuundar is the son of Rwookrrorro Cheiftain Freyyr and the brother of Zaalbar.
Chuundar sold out his people to the Czerka Corporation and its slavers in exchange for modern weaponry and technology. When Zaalbar discovered this, Zaalbar attacked Chuundar with his claws. Chuundar then manipulated his father into exiling Zaalbar as a madclaw. Chuundar later manipulated the people into believing that Freyyr was mad and usurped power from him.
Zaalbar traveled to the planet Taris and eventually ended up as a member of the player's party. The player can travel to Rwookrrorro on the planet Kashyyyk and either help Freyyr recover Bacca's sword and the throne or help the usurper Chuundar retain power.
He [Zaalbar] took offense to my trading a few of our people for favors and weapons.
I didn't understand his objection. Imagine the destruction if Czerka Corporation had come in with blasters firing. I saved many lives.
Of course, I also gained weapons, and arranged for certain rivals to be taken. I protected my allies, and my power grew.— Chuundar, in Star Wars: The Old Republic
Young Zaalbar had no foresight. He couldn't control his outrage. He attacked me with his claws and damned himself doing it.
A few careful stories and everyone called him mad-claw. Even father Freyyr. I easily had him exiled.— Chuundar, in Star Wars: The Old Republic
He [Freyyr] went as mad as you [Zaalbar] when he finally discovered the slavers. He dared challenge them alone and has not been seen since.
That was years ago. Let him go, Zaalbar. I rule now. I'll take the Wookiees forward, but there are prices to pay.— Chuundar, in Star Wars: The Old Republic
You have Bacca's blade? So what! I have the hilt, held by each true Chieftain in recent memory! Even you claimed it was all-important!
We both have our ancient trinkets, so who will the people follow now? You? You are old and weak!— Chuundar, in Star Wars: The Old Republic
If aided by the player
I will make our people strong with outsider weapons and influence.— Chuundar, in Star Wars: The Old Republic
You've made certain I cannot be challenged. With Freyyr gone, there is nobody to whine about the old traditions. Everyone believes in my way… even Zaalbar.
I will lead the Wookiee people to a great future… safely under my thumb.— Chuundar, in Star Wars: The Old Republic
The sword has lost its influence here, and removing it from Kashyyyk will kill the old ways completely. That would suit my plans well.— Chuundar, in Star Wars: The Old Republic
Take it [the sword, Zaalbar and the player]. It's harmless in the hands of an exile and an outsider. Freyyr was the true force behind it, and the new generation will forget him quickly. You've [the layer has] seen to that.— Chuundar, in Star Wars: The Old Republic
