Nehushta (נְחֻשְׁתָּא) was a queen consort of King Jehoiakim of Judah and the mother of King Jehoiachin of Judah. She was a daughter of Elnathan of Jerusalem. King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylonia besieged Jerusalem, and when Jehoiachin and her court surrendered, Nebuchadnezzar plundered the city, including the Temple and the palace. Nebuchadnezzar took Jehoiachin, Nehushta, Jehoiachin's wives, and many others into exile to Babylon and placed Jehoiachin's half-brother Zedekiah on the throne of Judah.
